Gandhi’s Message of Non-Violence Honoured in Amsterdam

Indian and Dutch participants came together in the Dutch capital for a ceremony honouring Mahatma Gandhi, bringing together the Gandhi Global Family and the Church of Scientology Netherlands around human rights, news euromillions peaceful cooperation and non-violence.

The gathering, held at Amsterdam’s Gandhi statue, the event included Ram Mohan Rai, General Secretary of Gandhi Global Family, Scientology representatives and human rights advocates. Participants also discussed future cooperation in peace awareness, human rights and youth initiatives.

The Church of Scientology’s support for human rights education is inspired by Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, who encouraged Scientologists to support initiatives advancing fundamental human rights.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, linked the gathering to European principles of human dignity and freedom of conscience, stressing that knowledge of human rights can support social cohesion and democratic resilience.
